A suspect faces alcohol and hit and run charges.
The driver hit a power pole around 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening. A live wire was seen hanging over Russell Street. The driver ran away, but witnesses to the crash followed the suspect. An off-duty police officer eventually caught up with and detained the suspect.
